This pair of torsion spring winding rods is constructed of hard drawn wire and come in 1/2 in. outside diameters x 16 in. lengths. When adjusting or replacing garage door torsion springs, it is important that these tasks are not attempted with any other tools other than with these rods. Failure to use these rods when replacing or making adjustments to torsion springs may result in personal injury and property damage. This item consists of two identical 1/2 in. x 16 in. rods which are designed specifically for increasing (winding) and decreasing (unwinding) the tension on garage door torsion springs, and they are the only tools recommended for this purpose. Note: Winding cones should be wound and unwound 1/4 turn at a time. Not for use on winding cones larger than 33/64 in. in diameter.
