Description
This barrel nut and bolt set is constructed of steel and comes in a zinc-plated finish. Sets like these are commonly known as sex bolts in the hardware industry, as well as Chicago bolts. This barrel nut (sex bolt) features a long female threaded shaft (inside), which fastens with the mating screw's outside thread. Barrel nuts and bolts like these are used where through-bolting applications are desired with a head on both sides of the materials being joined. Sets like these can be used for mounting hydraulic door closers on doors from 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch thick.
